The mission of VAWnet is to harness and use electronic communication technology to end violence against women. VAWnet is funded through a Cooperative Agreement with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is housed within the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV). VAWnet is an easily accessible and comprehensive collection of full-text, searchable electronic resources on domestic violence, sexual violence, and related issues. VAWnet's primary goal is to support local, state and national violence against women prevention and intervention strategies that are safe, effective, and address the self-identified issues of consequence to victims and survivors.
